Owner David Hill described the recent freeze as "catastrophic," noting that the farm has likely lost about 35% of its annual revenue. The freezing temperatures led to the formation of heavy ice on the plants, causing many to collapse under the weight. Hill and his team worked tirelessly through the night, employing overhead irrigation to create a protective ice layer around the crops—a common practice to shield plants from freezing temperatures.
