Pups Pub Set to Unleash Off-Leash Dog Bar in Clermont by Early 2026

Pups Pub, the renowned off-leash dog bar and sports lounge, is gearing up to open its doors in Clermont, Florida, by early 2026.

Located at 898 W. Montrose St., this innovative venue promises a secure environment where dogs can roam freely while their owners enjoy a vibrant social scene.

The 2,500-square-foot space, formerly an automotive repair shop, is undergoing a transformation to feature expansive bay doors, creating an inviting indoor-outdoor ambiance.

Additionally, a 0.3-acre outdoor play area will provide ample space for canine companions to frolic and socialize.

Patrons can look forward to a selection of beers and wines, with potential plans to introduce liquor options in the future.

Food offerings will be available through kiosks connecting to local downtown Clermont restaurants, allowing guests to savor a variety of cuisines while supporting neighboring businesses.

Sheila Suhar, co-founder of Pups Pub, envisions the establishment as more than just a bar.

She describes it as a "third space"—a community hub where dog lovers can relax, meet new people, and bond over their shared affection for their pets.

"We focus on creating community," Suhar emphasizes.

"When your dog and my dog are playing together, it naturally starts a conversation.

It's one of the few ways left to meet people organically."

In line with their expansion strategy, Pups Pub is franchising its successful concept to cities with strong pet-friendly communities.

Following the Clermont opening, plans are underway to establish a new location in the Tampa area by mid-2026.

The Clermont venue is targeting an opening between late January and early February 2026, pending final construction and permitting.

Operating hours are set for Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
