Olympus in Clermont: What’s Happening With the Development Now
Homes and infrastructure are moving forward while the signature sports and entertainment vision remains a longer-term buildout

Olympus is no longer just a big idea on a rendering board, but the finished destination many South Lake residents have heard about is still being built in pieces rather than all at once.

The roughly 243-acre master-planned development sits in Clermont’s Wellness Way corridor near U.S. 27 and Lake Louisa State Park, with a long-term vision built around sports, health, wellness, hospitality, entertainment and residential living.

What has changed in 2026 is that some of the most tangible pieces are finally easier to see.

David Weekley Homes began selling single-family homes this year in Reflections at Olympus, with homes ranging from about 1,790 to 2,915 square feet and townhome phases planned as well.

The neighborhood plans include a pool and cabana, trails, parks, green space, a dog park, a tot lot and a future amphitheater, giving the residential side of Olympus a much more concrete footprint than it had a few years ago.

At the same time, the larger commercial vision remains ambitious.

Promotional materials describe an ambitious mix of sports and entertainment facilities, residential neighborhoods, hotels, restaurants, shops and office space. The precise commercial square footage, hotel-room totals and approved development entitlements have not been independently confirmed for this article.

These are proposed or marketed components of the broader vision, not evidence that those facilities have been constructed or that every element has final approval.

That distinction matters because Olympus has been discussed for years, and early timelines created expectations that the sports destination would arrive much sooner.

The project now appears to be advancing as a collection of residential, infrastructure and future commercial phases instead of one dramatic grand opening.

Infrastructure across Wellness Way is also catching up with the growth.

Clermont announced milling and paving work in summer 2026 for Wellness Way Phase 1A, including Armstrong Avenue, Zen Way, Fitness Street, Runners Circle and nearby roads. The announcement does not by itself establish that every road improvement is complete.

The city’s broader Wellness Way plan emphasizes connected roads, trails, complete streets, employment, housing, recreation and preserved open space across a much larger growth corridor.

For Olympus, that surrounding network is important because a sports and entertainment destination only works if residents, visitors and employees can actually reach it efficiently.

The envisioned Town Center includes retail, restaurants, offices, hospitality and mixed-use space, but this article cannot confirm completion dates or construction status for each proposed commercial component.

So the short version is this: Olympus is moving, but the movement is uneven.

Home sales and announced infrastructure work provide concrete signs of activity, while the timing and construction status of many signature sports, hotel and entertainment elements remain unconfirmed.

For South Lake residents who have watched Olympus since its earliest announcements, the next meaningful milestone will be when those signature destination pieces move from plans and entitlements into visible vertical construction.
